A 1.5-V, 2.4-GHz CMOS LNA and Mixer Receiver Front-End

چکیده
There are two main approaches to realize a receiver front-end. However, they have drawbacks when fully-integrated on a single chip. One direction to realize this front-end is to use a transformer that can convert the single RF output of the LNA to the differential input of mixer [4]. Another way to do this is to use a narrow-band two stage tuned LNA [5] that can provide a differential output. However, this requires a differential input to the LNA. The first approach is not very easy to implement since integrating an efficient transformer on chip is difficult and area intensive, which degrades the performance and increases the cost of the chip. The second approach requires a differential RF input and a two-stage tuned LNA, which requires high power consumption.
